The Gavotys have been making wine on their Roman-era farm in the commune of Cabasse since the early 19th century. Staunch defenders of their soil, the family fought for the recognition of the Côtes de Provence appellation in the 1980s. They were also the first in the region to grow the Rolle grape variety.
