Yann Chave
The history of this estate began in the 1970s, with one hectare of vines and fruit orchards. After first selling locally and to co-ops, the family began producing their own wines in 1979. Nowadays the estate, run by Yann Chave, the son of the founding generation, produces some of the most sought-after wines in the Crozes-Hermitage appellation.

Meet the Winemaker
The estate is managed by Yann Chave, who worked in finance until he decided to return to his passion for wine. After being poisoned by an insecticide, he found organic farming in the early 2000s. The estate was certified in 2007 and now boasts 20 hectares in the heart of the Crozes-Hermitage.
In the Vineyard & Cellar
Yann Chave brought real change to the vineyard when he took over from his parents, restructuring and extending the estate through the years. From the mythical Hermitage hillside to the neighboring appellation of Crozes-Hermitage, Yann supports the adoption of organic practices in the vineyard to optimize grape quality. In the cellar, he is renowned for his technical skills, enabling him to achieve perfect balance in all of his wines.
