Our Experiences
Meet the Winemaker
Pierre-Henri and his brother Alexandre are the sixth generation to run Domaine Rougeot, managed by their father, Marc. This family estate has long practiced low-intervention and organic farming techniques to bring out the best in their Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
In the Vineyard & Cellar
The vineyards are planted with white varieties Chardonnay and Aligoté and red varieties Pinot Noir and Gamay. Vines range from 25 years old to almost a century. Grapes are harvested and sorted by hand, and each terroir is vinified separately to create plot wines. Wine is fermented with indigenous yeasts and no or very low sulfites are added. Aging occurs in Burgundy oak barrels for 12 to 20 months without racking or stirring.
