Domaine Corinne & Jean-Pierre Grossot

Domaine Corinne & Jean-Pierre Grossot

Family business
Corinne and Jean-Pierre Grossot see no need to resort to modern technology in order to make great wine. This family-owned estate still uses the same techniques passed down from one generation to the next, such as using vine cuttings for heat and harvesting their grapes by hand.

Meet the Winemaker

Jean-Pierre exemplifies his family's passion for winemaking, ethos of sustainability, and traditional Chablis methods. The Grossots' young daughter Eve also works with them and is poised to one day take over the estate.
In the Vineyard & Cellar

The 18 hectares of Domaine Corinne & Jean-Pierre Grossot are located in the scenic hills of the Fleys commune on the right bank of the Serein River. Jean-Pierre produces exemplary wines by bringing the rich fruitiness of Chardonnay and flinty mineral quality of the Kimmeridgian soil into perfect balance. Grapes are harvested by hand and gently pressed. The juice ferments slowly at low temperatures and ages in stainless steel tanks. Jean-Pierre often releases wines up to two years later than other growers, believing his Chardonnay benefits from extra time in the bottle.
