Domaine de la Bégude
Located on the highest point of Bandol, facing the Mediterranean, Domaine de la Bégude produces wines of lithe freshness and bright minerality—a departure from the lusher, more rustic style that characterize the appellation. Wines are aged in a Merovingian chapel dating back to the 7th century.

Our Experiences
Meet the Winemaker
Raised in Bordeaux at Château Giscours, Guillaume Tari fell in love with the exceptional terroir of Domaine de la Bégude, between the mountains and the sea. Known as the "Modernists of Bandol," Guillaume and Soledad Tari embraced organic viticulture the minute they took over Domaine de la Bégude.
Our Winemaking
The hilltop estate covers 500 hectares, 30 of which are dedicated to vines. Each parcel is isolated, which allows a more targeted winemaking approach. The divided, uneven layout also promotes greater biodiversity, with olive trees blanketing the property. In the cellar, each plot is vinified separately. The reds are aged in oak for 18 months while the rosés are aged on fine lees for two months. Some wine is reserved to produce more experimental cuvées, vinified in concrete eggs.
