Champagne Larmandier-Bernier
The marriage of two Champagne families created this house and a new legacy in the Côte des Blancs in 1971. This organic estate has vines in Premier Cru and Grand Cru vineyards, producing delicate, precise and sought-after wines. The family believes good champagnes play by the rules, but great champagnes often break them.

Meet the Winemaker
After business school, Pierre returned to work in the family vineyard after the untimely death of his father. He and his wife Sophie run the estate since 1988. Their son Arthur joined them in 2017 to learn the family business.
In the Vineyard & Cellar
Larmandier-Bernier made the choice to trust nature and harvest with a higher level of ripeness on their rich chalky soils. They are certified organic and use biodynamic practices in the vineyard, where their vines are on average 35 years old. Specialists in blanc de blancs, they grow 90% Chardonnay. In the cellar, they try to minimize intervention and manipulation, using indigenous yeast and low levels of sulfites with no filtering or fining. Their wine is aged a minimum of 11 months on lees in large wooden vats or barrels to obtain a rich, complex champagne.
