Simone 2018: The Soul of Clos Marey-Monge
An extraordinary cuvée, born from a remarkable terroir. Simone is considered the "soul" of the Clos Marey-Monge at Château de Pommard. With only 1,800 bottles produced in the most generous years, Simone is Chateau de Pommard’s rarest wine, available only by allocation. The delicacy, intensity and structure of a red wine greatly depend on the quality of the internal surface of clay contained in the soil. The Simone plot holds Burgundy’s record, beating the greatest Grands Crus of the Côte d'Or. The award-winning wine is a living, breathing testament to the château's ultimate commitment to work with nature to create honest, energetic wines.
