My favorite wine trip was to the Loire Valley. We traveled from Muscadet to Sancerre, tasting the local wines and pairing them with local cuisine. The châteaux were incredible.
Definitely champagne. It’s thirst-quenching with bright acidity and a delicate mousse. It pairs with most foods, and I just love those toasty brioche notes.
