Meet Astrid
Every bottle of wine has its own story to tell and behind that bottle is a passionate winemaker waiting to tell it. The story begins with the first sip.
What’s the bottle that got you into wine?
Jean-Louis Chave Hermitage 2012. I was introduced by a friend, who said “Trust me you’ve never had anything like this.” They were right. It was a perfect blend of flavors, notably blackberry, and hints of pepper, with a touch of smokiness.
What’s your weeknight wine?
An easy to drink Cabernet Franc from Chinon in the beautiful Loire Valley, occasionally a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc!
"“His lips drink water but his heart drinks wine”"
